    * A purple primer is the perfect first coat when planning to paint a red wall.

    * Gray is the best color primer coat when painting a green wall.

    * Mixing a flat acrylic with a semi-gloss or gloss acrylic will result in a variety of sheen outcomes depending on the quality of paint and binders used.
